Spending time together is the best way we can make memories together. After a week of tears, (we had to say goodbye to our sweet dog Rhea) I set out to the gorgeous tulip festival at Holland Ridge Farms in Cream Ridge with my three children to do just that, just them and I.
It was a long drive from Linwood, New Jersey (about 1.5 hours!) but it was well worth it and so much more. When I first arrived we hurried in because the clouds looked a bit dark, but it ended up being a gorgeous cloudy day, with soft beautiful light. The sun even peeked out from behind the clouds every few minutes to kiss my babies sweet faces. I wanted to spend the time talking to each of them, having some laughs and taking their portraits because these little faces change so fast! And I want these moments to treasure forever.
My little girl recently hit a new milestone, double digits so I had to capture her sweet face at 10 years old. My handsome boys posed a little while we told jokes, and they ran around too. I love the Spring air, minus the pollen, and being able to enjoy this sunshine and play outside. It’s just so good for the soul. Holland Ridge is really a unique place with its rows and rows of tulips in all shades of colors. Our visit was time well spent, as we adventured around the farm chatting, making some sillies and taking portraits of what will become beautiful wall art of my family’s most important memories.
If you haven’t made time for a visit or need Spring portraits, I definitely recommend it, and hurry because this is the last week!
